Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation
Spray foam systems are used to insulate walls and roofs using specialised spraying equipment. The foam helps to maintain indoor temperatures and also aids in water leakages from the surfaces.
We, at Shakun Industries, are offering both polyurethane close cell and open cell spray services for thermal & acoustic insulation, gap filling, and water proofing purposes. Our applicators are approved and affiliated with Graco, which is one of world’s leading suppliers and manufacturers of fluid handling equipment. We do all our jobs with Graco’s EXP2 machinery for better precision and efficiency.
- Excellent air and vapour barrier properties.
- Environment friendly solutions with CFC free blowing agents.
- Customized solutions for customer specific needs and requirements.
Applications
Reasons to Install
Quick Installation with Less Effort
Spray foam expands and dries quickly, which enables to do the job quickly and seamlessly.
Spray foam insulation requires less effort and can be done very quickly as compared to errecting conventional brick walls. It requires minimal labour and offers benefits beyond the conventional construction practices.
Enhanced Thermal Insulation
Spray foams helps to maintain indoor temperatures for longer periods of time.
Spray foam insulation is a type of thermal insulation that is applied using a spray gun. It consists of two components that react to form a foam that adheres to surfaces, creating an effective air barrier and thermal barrier. It is commonly used in residential and commercial buildings to improve energy efficiency and comfort.
Waterproofing & Zero Wall Damping
Closed cell spray foams acts as a great vapour barrier as well.
Spray foam insulation can also serve as a waterproofing material when applied correctly. The foam creates a seamless and durable barrier that can prevent water infiltration, making it ideal for use in areas like walls, roofs, basements, and foundations. Proper installation and regular maintenance are key to ensuring long-lasting waterproofing performance.
Strong Structural Support
Spray foams can also add to to structural strength of the walls adn roofs.
Spray foam insulation can provide some degree of structural support to a building, particularly in areas where it is applied in higher densities and thicker layers. However, it is important to note that spray foam insulation is primarily designed as an insulation material, and any structural support it provides is typically secondary to its insulation properties.
Improved Indoor Air Qualtiy
Stay fresh with spray foam insulation.
Spray foam insulation can help improve indoor air quality by creating an effective air barrier that prevents outside pollutants from entering the building. It can also reduce the amount of outdoor allergens and pollutants that enter the building through leaks and cracks in the walls. Additionally, spray foam insulation does not emit harmful gases or particles once it has cured, making it a safe and eco-friendly option for improving air quality.
Termite & Bacterial Resistant Foams
Spray foams aids in termite & bacteria free walls and roofs.
Spray foam insulation can provide some level of termite resistance due to its dense and hard texture, which can make it more difficult for termites to penetrate. Proper installation and maintenance of spray foam insulation can help enhance its termite resistance.
Save Money with Energy
Contribute more to your pocket and environment.
Spray foam insulation can significantly reduce energy consumption and costs by creating a continuous and effective air barrier that prevents air leakage and heat transfer. It can also help reduce the load on heating and cooling systems, leading to lower energy bills and carbon emissions. The initial cost of installing spray foam insulation can be offset by long-term energy savings.
Cheaper than Alternate Solutions
Save money with spray foam insulation.
Alternatue solutions including PUF panels/partitions are substantially more expensive than spray foam insulation. Spray foam insualtion can be done over various substrates, which helps in reducing unnecessary remodeling the structure and thus saving costs.
Hybrid & Pure Polyurea Spray Coating
Polyurea coating is a type of coating system that is becoming increasingly popular for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. It is a spray-applied coating that is made from a chemical reaction between an isocyanate component and a resin blend component.
We, at Shakun Industries, are offering both hybrid and pure polyurea spray coating services for water proofing, UV protection, corrosion & abrasion resistance purposes. Our applicators are approved and affiliated with Graco, which is one of world’s leading suppliers and manufacturers of fluid handling equipment. We do all our jobs with Graco’s EXP2 machinery for better precision and efficiency.
- Excellent surface finish and good substrate adhesion properties.
- Long lasting and seamless & highly resistant coating solution.
- 2-in-1 solution for abrasion/corrosion control and water-proofing.
Applications
Reasons to Install
Quick Installation with Less Effort
Polyurea coatings can be applied via uniform spraying, which makes the process less time consuming.
As compared to expoxy coatings, which can take up to 3-4 days for installation, polyurea coatings can be installed in a single day for the same amount of area. Polyurea is applied in two coats, the first containing the color and primer, with a second clear coat placed over top. Each layer dries rapidly, cutting installation time to a single day.
Fast Curing
Polyurea coatings dries up very quickly!
Epoxy coatings will take 24 hours to dry to a point where you are able to walk on the surface, and a full 7 days before you are able to drive a vehicle on it. In contrast, you can walk on polyurea coatings within 8 hours of application and vehicles can drive on it after only 24 hours.
Long Lasting Durability
It can last for more than 30 years!
Polyurea floors are extremely durable and stand the test of time. You are guaranteed a strong, flexible floor that will withstand daily wear and tear. It won’t scratch and will be resistant to cracks, mold, chemicals, and stains, including salt. In addition, polyurea is highly flexible, making it absorb shock and impact without cracking.
Excellent Adhesion with Substrates
Polyurea coatings exhibit excellent compatibility with different substrates.
A properly prepared surface will improve adhesion, especially for critical applications such as moist concrete for containment lining and flooring, as well as adhesion protection for geotextile, wood and steel. In these applications, polyurea systems will have the best results.
One Time Solution for Waterproofing
Forget all your water seapage problems with polyurea.
Polyurea is water-resistant making it a great flooring or roofing choice for areas where water can cause damage. Polyurea coating is ideal to defend against water seeping into cracks. Polyurea coating on concrete is an effective method to maintain building foundations. Water against structural foundations causes problems, such as cracking, but polyurea is the first and last line of defense.
Corrosion & Abrasion Resistant Coating
Polyurea is tougher than you think it is!
Polyurea is the perfect choice for garages and outdoor spaces because it’s extremely tough and long-lasting. Polyurea will not be damaged by hot tires, heavy foot traffic, outdoor shoes, kids’ bikes, and more! It’s even up to 20 times stronger than epoxy coatings.
Pleasing to Look
Polyurea coatings gives a nice, smooth & UV resistant look to your floor.
Polyurea coatings typically have a smooth, glossy, and seamless finish. They can provide a high-quality aesthetic appearance and a polished look to various surfaces. Polyurea coatings are often UV stable, meaning they are resistant to yellowing or discoloration when exposed to sunlight. This ensures that the coating maintains its original color and appearance over time, even in outdoor applications.
